Primary stability with a platform-switched crestal design
NTA Spure combines straight and tapered body geometry. The fixture has an SLA surface, an 11° conical connection, and platform switching. Crestal design and the osteotomy sequence are specified in the IFU.
The SLA surface is specified for contact with tissue fluid and cells during healing and BIC formation.
Macro and micro roughness: Titanium is corundum-blasted and acid-etched in a heated HCl solution, producing 2–4 μm pits intended to support osseointegration.
Non-porous finish: The surface is not micro-porous, so closed recesses for bacterial colonization are not created.
Surface chemistry: XPS of the outer atomic layers shows titanium dioxide (TiO2) — the layer in contact with tissue.
Connection specified for a sealed implant–abutment interface:
11° conical connection: Specified to reduce stress at the fixture and limit micro-movement and micro-leakage. The taper also resists abutment-screw loosening.
Platform switching: The implant–abutment junction sits closer to the fixture axis and away from the bone–implant interface, a geometry used to limit crestal remodeling.
Internal hex index: Indexes the abutment so it seats at the specified angle.
Placement handling:
Root form: A root-shaped body intended for insertion path, primary stability, and load distribution, reducing contact with adjacent roots during osteotomy and insertion.
Cutting edges: Sharp cutting edges increase self-tapping in bone, reducing insertion trauma and frictional heat versus a fully tapped osteotomy when used per IFU. Drilling time is short relative to a non-cutting body.
Body and straight mid-section: Longer fixtures add a longer straight mid-body so the osteotomy axis is less likely to drift during insertion.
Mount-free: The fixture is removed from the package with a fixture driver. A separate mount is not required except for optional protocols in the IFU.
